Teach Your Children Well

Our schools have all but erased God from their classrooms and halls. In most school systems, it is against the rules to pray, display the Ten Commandments or teach about God, but they do teach about a creation through a coincidental “Big Bang Theory” and now there is a giant movement to remove “under God” from our pledge of allegiance. We cannot rely on our schools to teach our children about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

This instruction needs to be accomplished in the home and started from an early age. It not only is the sole means to educate children from the Bible, but it is our directed responsibility, from the Word, to do it. We have an obigation to ourselves, our children and to God as well, to pass on the history, stories, inspirations, wisdom and Truth from the Word.

My people, hear my teaching;
listen to the words of my mouth.
I will open my mouth with a parable;
I will utter hidden things, things from of old—
things we have heard and known,
things our ancestors have told us.
We will not hide them from their descendants;
we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
his power, and the wonders he has done.
He decreed statutes for Jacob
and established the law in Israel,
which he commanded our ancestors
to teach their children,
so the next generation would know them,
even the children yet to be born,
and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God
and would not forget his deeds
but would keep his commands.
(Psalm 78:1-7)
